演目: 葵上 四番目物
解説:光源氏の正妻である葵上が物怪に悩まされているため、梓弓の上手である照日巫女に命じて、怨霊の正体を占わせる。すると梓の弓の音に引かれて、光源氏の愛人であった六条御息所の生霊が破れ車にのって現れる。【生霊は源氏の愛を失った恨みを述べ、葵上を霊界に連れ去ろうとする。】
かけつけた横川小聖が、祈祷を始めると、 六条御息所の生霊は鬼女の姿で再び現れ、激しく争う。しかし、ついに祈り伏せられて成仏する。
